Cooking Class Schedules Below

The Regal Rabbit, the premier kitchen and gourmet food store in Chesterton, IN, also hosts a series of cooking classes covering a wide variety of themes. 

With a fully stocked kitchen including Swiss Diamond cookware, Wusthof cutlery and Kyocera ceramic cutlery, dinner and stemware, we can accommodate up to 10 people in the classes. 

We invite you to explore the art & craft of cooking while you're enjoying a night out with friends, learning new recipes and enjoying the freshly prepared food. 

Our chefs come to us from many local restaurants and clubs, including, Grand Kankakee Restaurant, Rittenhouse Senior Living in MC and Long Beach CC.

All classes include a 10% discount on merchandise purchased on the day of the class.

Gourmet Couples - A Sauce Odyssey     $120/couple

You’ll master the time-honored techniques of classic French sauce making. Sauce Bordelaise (a luscious, rich red wine sauce) with roasted beef tenderloin; Sautéed pork with Charcutiere Sauce (white wine, mustard and cornichon sauce-a staple in Paris bistros) Chicken Chausseur (wine, shallot and mushroom “hunters sauce” with an incomparable zingy flavor). Plus timeless roasted vegetables to accompany each dish.

If you & your family love Chicken, enjoy an inspiring lesson & wonderful new recipes where Chicken is center stage. The hard part will be deciding which dish to serve your family first! Come to learn Grilled Chicken with Roasted Garlic-Oregano Vinaigrette & Grilled Fingerling Potatoes; Chicken Marsala with Glazed Baby Carrots; Pecan Crusted Chicken with Salsa Aioli over Baby Greens with Sun-dried Tomato Vinaigrette.

Join us for Seared Sea Scallops with Sautéed Wild Mushrooms, fresh Herb Salad & Roasted Garlic Beurre Blanc & Buttermilk Chive Biscuits. The entrée will be Sautéed Salmon & Bacon Tournedos with Brussels Sprouts, Mushrooms & Sauce Chateaubriand; Creamy Mashed Potatoes with Crispy Brown Onions. Dessert will be Black & White Super Brownies with Vanilla Ice Cream & Strawberries.

Come learn a lovely menu you can use for all you special occasions this spring. This menu will give you a great excuse to have a party! Come learn Chicken, Roasted Pepper & Queso Blanco Cheese Quesadillas with Lime Sour Cream Sauce; Smoked Salmon Cakes with Lemon Dill Aioli; Tarragon Chicken Salad in Herbed Cream Puffs; Coconut Chicken Skewers with Chipotle Honey Sauce; Apricot Pork Crostini with Ricotta Cheese & Cherry Port Wine Chutney.  

All classes begin at 6:30 pm and will last approximately 2 hours. 1 week notice required to cancel enrollment in any class.  All classes subject to cancellation or rescheduling. 10% discount on any merchandise purchased the night of the class.
